Charlie and Heather Catura, originally from Long Island, New York, have blessed the hearts of many audiences with their beautiful music and heartwarming message to young families. Their music is a light and sweet blend of Christian Contemporary with a dash of Inspirational and a hint of 80's pop.
When asked, "What makes your music different from the rest?" Charlie replied, "I've been told that, compared to others, our music sounds so real . And I've interpreted it to mean that, when we perform our music, people can see the real Charlie and Heather and not just
musicians who are trying to entertain a crowd. In so many ways, that's true. We want to bring our real life experiences to the audience and, hopefully, teach and guide people in the things that we've gone through in our own lives."
Charlie started to teach himself the piano at the age of fifteen by playing around on an old, worn-out organ. Using books to study chords, and mimicking other artist's songs, he gradually became the distinctive musician that he is today. And as for Heather, who has never even taken vocal lessons, she possesses such a captivating voice that it can only be portrayed as a gift from God.
Their mission is simple; "To Bring Hope and Inspiration to Young Families". Heather is not afraid of talking about the hardships in her past. "The healing takes place when you can talk about what happened to you in your life," Heather says, "God is in control of your future, and that's our testimony."
Being married for over twelve years and having four children has certainly been an expedition for them. But having a large family has kept their minds young and their lives focused. It's apparent that the desire to spread God's word and share their testimony, with an uplifting message and anointed music, is the ministry that God has given to them.
